Compassion.

We believe caring combines compassion as well as an ability to recognize what is needed and then responding appropriately. Our caring extends beyond the patient and encompasses the patient's guardian, our coworkers and our hospital.

  • To ask clients how you can assist them when they appear to be uncomfortable or distraught;

  • To consistently support team members in their efforts to serve clients;

We will excel by making every effort to exceed expectations and continually improve the "standard of care" for our patients and their guardians.

  • To ensure continuity of care between clinical functions;

  • To ensure timely proactive client communications regarding the treatment of their pets;

  • To maintain staffing levels required to ensure optimal patient care;

  • To make the job of coworkers easier.

 

Service.

We are dedicated to serving the greater Bay Area community and providing exceptional service within our hospital. We provide service with humility, patience and a sense of purpose.

The following behaviors manifest this value:

  • To consistently complete assigned tasks at the highest level possible;

  • To take pride and ownership in how clients perceive services;

  • To demonstrate respect for client knowledge about the clinical needs of their pets.

 

Integrity.

We realize that honesty and personal responsibility is the essence of every interaction and decision.

The following behaviors manifest this value:

  • To greet all clients with a smile and make eye contact;

  • To identify oneself by name and title during initial contact with a client;

  • To take a visible action in response to client requests;

  • To end client communication by asking if there is anything else you can help them with.
